Kassidy Davis, an AI influencer, is set to participate in the groundbreaking "Miss AI" beauty pageant, where models and influencers created through artificial intelligence will compete for a prize money of $20, 000. Forbes reports that this is the world's first AI beauty pageant, and the judging criteria will be based on their appearance, online influence, and the technical expertise involved in their creation. The social impact of the AI influencers, such as engagement with fans, audience growth rate, and platform utilization, will be assessed by the panel of judges, as stated in a press release by the World AI Creator Awards (WAICA). The pageant will feature AI-generated contestants who will vie against each other in front of a panel of judges, including two AI influencers. This contest is a pioneering initiative, with plans to include further competitions focusing on fashion, diversity, and computer-generated male models. The partnership with Fanvue, a subscription-based platform hosting virtual models, adds to the significance of the event, as Fanvue will provide promotional support and public relations assistance to the winner of Miss AI, along with a cash prize of $5, 000. The runner-up and third place winners will also receive cash prizes. Winners will be announced on May 10, followed by an online awards ceremony later in the month. The submission process for entries began on Sunday. Among the four-member judging panel, two are AI-generated: Aitana Lopez from Spain, with over 300, 000 followers, and Emily Pellegrini, who boasts more than 250, 000 followers on Instagram.

The other judges are Andrew Bloch, an entrepreneur and PR advisor, and Sally-Ann Fawcett, a beauty pageant historian and author of the book Misdemeanours: Beauty Queen Scandals. Ms. Fawcett expressed her fascination with AI creators, stating in a statement quoted by Forbes, "It's been a fast learning curve expanding my knowledge on AI creators, and it's quite incredible what is possible. " According to the competition's rules, entrants must be 100% AI-generated, and there are no restrictions on the tools used. "Miss AI welcomes creations produced from any type of generator, whether it's DeepAI, Midjourney, or your own tool, " the rules state. According to the contest's website, thousands of entries have already been submitted.
