Highlights include new Gemini models tailored for the agentic era, innovative AI systems that design protein binders, significant strides in neuroscience, and groundbreaking developments in quantum computing. In December 2024, we launched Gemini 2. 0, starting with the versatile Gemini 2. 0 Flash model, along with prototypes like Project Astra and Project Mariner, all designed to empower developers and enhance user experiences in Search and beyond. Our Deep Research feature in Gemini Advanced further streamlines complex research tasks. The earlier release of Gemini 1. 5 Pro and Flash models also significantly improved response efficiency and developer access through updates to AI Studio, now available as a progressive web app. Generative AI saw exciting updates, with tools like ImageFX and MusicFX introduced to help users create art and music from text prompts.
