Highlighting his longstanding concerns about job displacement, Yang referred to an IMF report suggesting that around 40% of global jobs could be affected by AI. He observed the effects of this shift in politics and emphasized the inadequate measures being taken to address the impact of AI on the labor market. During his visit to South Carolina, Yang campaigned for Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips, who also recognizes the significance of AI. Phillips spoke about the urgent need to address AI's impact and pledged to establish an AI task force to study its applications and consequences.
