He remarked, "This further illustrates how Web3 is becoming increasingly institutionalized, seamlessly integrating into a society that appreciates the reliability and security provided by decentralized blockchains—an aspect critical to financial operations. " Oliver Nyderle, head of Web3 infrastructure at Deutsche Telekom MMS, highlighted the company’s commitment to “fostering true decentralization” and employing its infrastructure to bolster network security. In its role as a validator, Deutsche Telekom MMS will stake the Injective blockchain’s native token, INJ, to propose blocks, ensure cross-chain interoperability, validate transactions, and participate in governance voting. As the 60th validator for Injective, Deutsche Telekom MMS joins a network that already includes prominent entities like crypto exchanges Kraken and Binance Staking, according to data from block explorer Mintscan. Injective promotes itself as an interoperable layer-1 blockchain tailored for financial applications, operating under a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus model. Deutsche Telekom, through its various subsidiaries, including T-Mobile, provides broadband and mobile networks across more than 50 countries, boasting a market cap of approximately $178 billion and serving 252 million mobile customers globally. Founded in 1995, Deutsche Telekom MMS was established as a fully owned subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom to develop software for television and has since broadened its scope to encompass a wider array of IT and technology solutions.
