According to The Information, an "internal preview" of the AI agent, internally named Jarvis, was briefly available for download as a Chrome web extension on Tuesday. The extension was described as "a helpful companion that surfs the web with you" but was nonfunctional due to access issues. It was removed from the web store later that day. The AI agent is anticipated to assist users by browsing the web, purchasing products, and booking flights. Google intends to launch Jarvis publicly in December along with the newest version of its Gemini large language model. Google isn't alone in developing AI agents.
