Streamline Your Interview Process with Bluedot AI Meeting Recorder

No matter where you work, certain aspects of your job can be tedious and frustrating. As a writer, I find organizing interview information for unwritten stories particularly annoying. When preparing to compile a transcript into a prep document, I’m often perturbed by the number of steps required for the very task I enjoy: writing. Recently, to aid in a virtual interview where I needed to use Google Chrome, I decided to try Bluedot, an AI-powered Meeting Recorder & Note Taker, hoping it would simplify my process. Although I've previously tested various AI tools without finding one to regularly incorporate into my workflow, I was intrigued by Bluedot’s straightforward installation and compatibility with my 2017 MacBook Air. Bluedot offers a free option for up to five one-hour meetings, along with screen-recording and Slack integration. Its Basic plan costs $14 per month for unlimited audio meetings, while the Pro plan at $20 per month allows unlimited video meetings and custom templates. I chose Bluedot from a list generated by Google and was pleasantly surprised by its functionality after my interview.

Key features I valued include: - **Google Meet Integration**: Notifies participants and lets you record audio or video seamlessly. - **Transcript Template Options**: Customizes transcripts based on specific needs, available in various categories. Pro users can create tailored templates. - **Versatile Scheduler Software Options**: Works across multiple platforms like Microsoft Edge and Firefox, with upcoming integrations for Salesforce and Hubspot. - **AI Email Generator**: Creates concise email summaries of meeting recaps, useful for maintaining relationships, despite concerns about sounding robotic. - **Emailed Meeting Recap**: Automatically generates a comprehensive recap with key points and next steps, making it easier to follow up. I was especially impressed with the AI-generated meeting recap, which I shared in a follow-up thank-you email, capturing the essence of my discussion beautifully. Bluedot aims to enhance productivity and knowledge sharing, enriching individual development. By using it, I’ve improved my organizational and communication skills while gaining valuable insights from my interviews, making it a potential asset for anyone looking to grow in their professional capacities. Ultimately, the decision to use Bluedot depends on personal needs and preferences, suitable for a wide range of users from entrepreneurs to recruiters.

Brief news summary

Repetitive tasks can be challenging for writers, especially when it comes to organizing interviews. To enhance my productivity, I tried Bluedot, a Chrome extension designed for efficient note-taking and meeting recording. The free version allows up to five one-hour meetings and includes features like screen recording and Slack integration, while the basic plan offers unlimited audio meetings for $14/month. The installation was simple, and the extension performed well on my 2017 MacBook Air. Bluedot stands out with its impressive features, including smooth integration with Google Meet, customizable transcript templates, AI-generated summary emails with actionable insights, and auto recaps highlighting key points. I found the conversational tone of the AI summaries particularly helpful for sharing insights with interviewees. In summary, Bluedot is an effective tool that boosts productivity and communication. Its strong note-taking and summarization capabilities make it invaluable for professionals such as entrepreneurs and recruiters, solidifying its role in enhancing workplace efficiency.
