Google Labs, in partnership with Google DeepMind, has introduced Pomelli, an AI-powered experiment designed to help small-to-medium-sized businesses develop on-brand marketing campaigns. The tool is currently in public beta, available in English for users in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. What is Pomelli? Business DNA Profile Creation Pomelli analyzes a business’s website and existing imagery to automatically create a “Business DNA” profile. This profile includes aspects such as tone of voice, color palette, fonts, and visual style. All content generated by Pomelli leverages this profile to ensure consistent copy and visuals across multiple channels. A demonstration video is provided below: AI-Generated Campaign Ideas Once the Business DNA profile is established, Pomelli presents tailored campaign ideas specific to the business. Users can select from the suggested options or enter their own prompts to create content aimed at particular goals.
This feature is intended to reduce the time teams spend brainstorming messaging and strategies. On-Brand Creative Assets Afterwards, Pomelli generates branded marketing materials suitable for social media posts, websites, and advertisements. Users can edit both text and images within the platform before downloading the final assets for use across various channels. Why Is This Important? For small-to-medium businesses that lack internal design or copywriting resources, Pomelli could reduce reliance on external creative agencies. Google markets the tool as a means to accelerate the creation of brand-consistent campaigns without needing to manually brief agencies or craft each asset from scratch. Looking Ahead Pomelli is launching as an early experiment under Google Labs. Google recognizes that refining the user experience may take time and invites businesses to provide feedback during the public beta phase.
