"AI is rapidly progressing, and developers of large language models are involved in a resource-intensive arms race, ” Charles Huang, HTC’s senior vice president of global sales and marketing, told Reuters in an interview.
"Our aim is to harness the strengths of various platforms rather than creating a closed ecosystem. " HTC’s VIVE smartglasses support multiple AI platforms, including Google's Gemini and OpenAI, enabling users to take advantage of enhancements across different models, Huang explained. In comparison, Meta’s smartglasses operate on Meta AI, while Chinese smartglasses from certain brands are designed around locally developed AI models.
