But I wonder, after a raid, did any of them ever think about the fabric they saw in those factories?Did they marvel at the intricate patterns produced so swiftly and cheaply?Did any shame-filled Luddite secretly purchase the factory-made cloth later on? Here's the thing: I’ve been earning money from writing for over forty years. Though it's never been my primary income, it's always been a nice side gig.

In fact, I consulted ChatGPT about the Luddites when starting this piece. Up until recently, I would have googled that and perhaps stumbled upon a Medium article on the topic.
