IBM has already built extensive expertise in AWS's generative AI services, including Amazon SageMaker and Amazon CodeWhisperer. It is also one of the first AWS Partners to utilize Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service that provides industry-leading foundation models through an API. IBM Consulting is committed to training 10, 000 consultants on AWS generative AI services by the end of 2024, providing them access to an exclusive training program focused on key use cases and best practices for client engagement with AWS generative AI services. Furthermore, IBM is responding to client demand by making its watsonx. data, a fit-for-purpose data store built on an open lakehouse architecture, available on AWS as a fully managed software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution. The company plans to make watsonx. ai and watsonx. governance available on AWS by 2024.
