Indegene has announced a strategic agreement to acquire BioPharm Communications, a specialized pharmaceutical marketing and media services agency. According to the terms of the agreement, BioPharm – currently part of Omnicom Health Group – will be fully acquired by ILSL, a subsidiary of Indegene. Established in 2005, BioPharm delivers omnichannel, AI-supported marketing strategies to clients within the life sciences sector, serving 17 of the world's top 25 biopharmaceutical companies, as reported by the firm. “We are thrilled to become part of the larger Indegene family at such a pivotal moment for the industry, ” said Steve Carickhoff, president of BioPharm. “Their life sciences-focused AI approach will unlock new opportunities, enabling us to offer greater value to clients.
Together, we will push the frontiers of AI-driven pharma marketing globally—providing more personalized, measurable, and patient-centric outcomes. ” Indegene stated that the acquisition will strengthen its commercialization portfolio by incorporating BioPharm’s AdTech and digital advertising expertise. Both companies aim to jointly develop AI-first, data-driven commercialization models intended to deliver more efficient, agentic operations for clients.
