According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is significantly lagging behind its competitors in the advancement of their generative AI technology and there are no indications that the company plans to launch AI services next year. In a recent post on Medium, Kuo outlined how Apple's upcoming earnings report will impact the company's stocks and supply chain. He explained that due to their lack of progress in AI, Apple's discussion of the topic during the earnings call is expected to be limited. Furthermore, there are no reports suggesting that Apple has intentions to release or integrate AI computing or hardware products in 2024. This suggests that AI is unlikely to have an immediate impact on Apple's stock price or supply chain. Last month, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman mentioned that Apple was working on "Apple GPT" projects in the field of artificial intelligence, posing a potential challenge to OpenAI's ChatGPT. However, Apple does not currently have a well-defined strategy for creating consumer products in this area. While there might be a significant AI-related announcement from Apple in 2024, Gurman claims that there are no definite plans as of yet. During Apple's May earnings call, CEO Tim Cook acknowledged that there are a number of issues that need to be resolved with regards to AI and emphasized the importance of taking a deliberate and thoughtful approach to its development. Cook also expressed Apple's view of AI as a major opportunity and mentioned plans to strategically integrate it into their products.

Apple recently released the second public betas of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, allowing non-developers to test the software ahead of the official launch. This update comes a little over two weeks after the initial beta release. The second public beta offers the same content as the fourth developer beta from last week, although Apple has also provided a revised version of that developer beta. Apple is expected to unveil its iPhone 15 lineup in September, and rumors suggest various new features for the Pro and Pro Max models, including a USB-C port, A17 Bionic chip, titanium frame, and an Action button. Additionally, several rumors have surfaced regarding 12 new features and changes expected on the iPhone 15 Pro models. Leaker ShrimpApplePro has mentioned that the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra will be available with a black titanium case, alongside the existing "Natural" titanium finish. Furthermore, there are indications that Apple is working on the seventh-generation iPad mini, with leaks suggesting that it may be released soon. Samsung, Apple's primary OLED supplier, has reportedly received approval for mass production of displays for all four models in the iPhone 15 series, slated for release in September. Lastly, Apple released iOS 16. 6 on July 24, delivering important bug fixes and security updates in preparation for the larger iOS 17 update.
