The Mavryk Network team, which focuses on real-world assets (RWA) through its layer-1 blockchain, announced that it has secured $5. 2 million to further its initiatives in tokenization and decentralized finance (DeFi). This funding round saw participation from Ghaf Capital, Big Brain, MetaVest Capital, Cluster Capital, Collective Ventures, and Atlas Fund, as noted in an email sent to CoinDesk on Tuesday. Mavryk Dynamics aims to enhance the process of RWA tokenization and DeFi integration, thereby making digital asset ownership more attainable. Its testnet provides users with a platform to engage with decentralized applications (dapps), buy fractional test shares of RWAs, offer feedback, and earn rewards. This non-custodial blockchain features an on-chain protocol treasury and liquidity mining capabilities.

Additionally, the team has created a new RWA token standard along with various decentralized exchanges (DEXs) for non-custodial trading and lending. The concept of tokenization—creating blockchain-based tokens that signify ownership of conventional assets—is increasingly appealing to institutions seeking enhanced operational efficiency. Reports from companies like McKinsey and BCG indicate that the tokenized RWA market could potentially expand into the trillions of dollars over the coming decade.
