Last week, I noticed a blue ring icon on WhatsApp, signaling the rollout of Meta's new AI chatbot across various apps. Although I initially had little interest in AI chatbots, Meta's in-app integration in WhatsApp made it more accessible and enticing. I've found several useful features, such as the ability to generate AI images by describing them, finding recipes quickly and conveniently, assisting with tech shopping, summarizing articles, and performing basic search tasks.

While Meta's AI chatbot has its limitations, particularly with precise article summaries and comprehensive web searches, I still see potential for its use in certain tasks. However, I remain cautious about trusting AI chatbots for news and factual information. Despite concerns about Meta's history and data collection practices, it's difficult to ignore their presence and impact on AI chatbot usage.
