Recently, Midjourney CEO David Holz announced that anyone can access the website and start creating images. As an exclusive offer, users can generate up to 25 images through a complimentary trial. Previously, Midjourney users had to rely on Discord to generate and refine AI-based images. This process often involved playing around with text-based prompts, which could be cumbersome and frustrating. To cater to users who preferred an alternative to Discord, Midjourney introduced its standalone website towards the end of last year. Initially, the website was only open to those who had previously generated at least 10, 000 images via Discord, which limited accessibility. Now that the site is available to all, Midjourney users can enjoy a much smoother and user-friendly experience. Registration for the website requires a Google or Discord account. If you have already created images through Discord, you can use that account to access your image history.

Additionally, you can merge your Discord and Google accounts for the convenience of signing in through either one. Alternatively, signing in with a Google account is a simpler option. Once logged in, a sidebar on the left side of the screen provides tabs for different sections and tasks. The Explore section lets you browse images created by other users, while the Create section features a helpful video that guides you through the process of getting started with Midjourney. This video is also available on X. From there, you can request an image by entering your prompt in the top field and see what Midjourney generates for you. Midjourney will produce four different images based on your prompt. If you find an image you like, you can further refine it through actions such as making it stronger or subtler. You also have the option to zoom in or out, pan across the image, and adjust its size. What's even more exciting is that Midjourney offers an image editor, allowing you to modify the prompt, adjust specific areas of an image, change the aspect ratio, scale it, and even add new elements. In the Organize section, you can access and make adjustments to the images you have generated. Additionally, you can copy and download your images. The website also provides chat rooms where users can view images from others, upload their own images, and share tips and tricks with fellow Midjourney users.
