Nscale Acquires Monarch Compute Campus — America’s First State-Certified AI Microgrid with Up to 8GW+ Onsite Power Capacity SAN JOSE, CA (GTC 2026) – March 16, 2026 – Nscale has signed an agreement to acquire American Intelligence & Power Corporation (“AIPCorp”), backed by Fidelis New Energy and 8090 Industries, including the Monarch Compute Campus in West Virginia, with plans to establish one of the world’s largest AI Factories. The acquisition secures the Monarch Compute Campus, a site spanning up to 2, 250 acres in Mason County, West Virginia, featuring the United States’ first state-certified AI microgrid, scalable to over 8 gigawatts of power capacity. This deal also creates Nscale Energy & Power, a new global division headquartered in Houston, Texas. The campus benefits from long-term, low-cost, onsite powered microgrid access to support multi-gigawatt expansions, addressing a critical bottleneck in developing cutting-edge, high-demand AI compute infrastructure. The West Virginia facility is the nation’s first state-certified utility grid purpose-built for AI workloads. An initial 2-gigawatt power capacity is expected to be operational by mid-2028, with plans to expand to around 8 gigawatts by 2031. “Nscale is a global company, and the US represents the world’s largest AI infrastructure market.
