NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) and IREN Limited (NASDAQ: IREN) have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the deployment of next-generation AI infrastructure. Together, they plan to support up to 5 gigawatts of NVIDIA DSX-aligned AI infrastructure across IREN’s global data center projects over time. The collaboration includes deploying NVIDIA accelerated compute within DSX AI factories to expand AI access for both startups and enterprises. As part of the partnership, IREN granted NVIDIA a five-year right to purchase up to 30 million shares of IREN’s ordinary stock at $70 per share, enabling a potential investment of up to $2. 1 billion, subject to regulatory and other conditions. This alliance aims to combine NVIDIA’s DSX AI factory architecture with IREN’s expertise in power, land acquisition, data centers, GPU deployment, and infrastructure operations to fast-track large-scale AI factory development. Future efforts will emphasize IREN’s 2-gigawatt Sweetwater campus in Texas, expected to serve as the flagship deployment site for NVIDIA’s DSX technology. Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s founder and CEO, highlighted the essential role AI factories play in the global economy and stressed the need for integration across computing, networking, software, power, and operations capabilities, noting IREN’s significant infrastructure expertise as a vital factor in accelerating this buildout.
