NVIDIA showcased a range of AI technologies at Gamescom, the biggest gaming conference in the world. Among the advancements is DLSS 3. 5, an upgraded version of their breakthrough neural rendering technology, which enhances image quality in ray-traced games like Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Alan Wake 2, and Portal with RTX. This is just one of the many innovations unveiled by NVIDIA, including the integration of DLSS into more AAA titles, the addition of emotion to AI-driven non-playable characters, and the introduction of Xbox Game Pass games to the GeForce NOW cloud-gaming service. Additionally, NVIDIA is improving its GeForce NOW servers and introducing Ray Reconstruction in DLSS 3. 5, a groundbreaking feature that enhances lighting effects and creates a more realistic gaming experience. With DLSS being utilized in over 330 games and applications, it continues to evolve and improve image quality and performance.
NVIDIA Reflex, a technology that reduces system latency, providing a competitive advantage in multiplayer games, is also gaining traction and already used by millions of players each month. Furthermore, a community remaster of Half-Life 2 called Half-Life 2 RTX is in development, incorporating various NVIDIA technologies. Another addition to NVIDIA's AI offerings is the Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE), which introduces NeMo SteerLM, allowing developers to customize the personality of NPCs. Lastly, GeForce NOW is expanding its game library, offering more titles to its Ultimate members and integrating Microsoft Store for streaming Xbox PC Game Pass games. Visitors at Gamescom have the opportunity to experience DLSS 3. 5 firsthand at NVIDIA's booth.
