So, using artificial intelligence, he created a virtual reality tool called "live forever mode" where digital avatars can simulate a person's voice, mannerisms, and movements. The goal is for the avatar to live online as a memory of its creator so future generations can interact with it. While companies are reimagining our relationship with the dead, cyber psychologist Elaine Kasket has concerns about exploiting existential fears for profit.

Sychov's company, Somnium Space, is trialling the tool before its official launch and users are excited about the idea of immortality and preserving their legacies.
