With substantial financial resources and connections, Hoskinson is poised to influence the 2026 election cycle. He has invested approximately $100 million in a health clinic in Gillette, highlighting a commitment to Wyoming and a focus on improving procurement practices within the state’s government. He argues that better transparency in procurement can lead to a more financially sustainable government and enhanced quality of life without raising taxes. Hoskinson notes that procurement is a bipartisan issue that unifies residents against vendor interests. As an early contributor to Wyoming’s cryptocurrency advancement, he was dismayed that Cardano was excluded from bidding for the state’s stable token project, which he claims favored a select group of vendors.

He emphasizes the risk of advanced technologies taking advantage of Wyoming if the state doesn't adopt better procurement policies. In addition to these efforts, Hoskinson seeks to tackle government corruption and modernize various state processes, including wildlife management. He’s also concerned about multi-million dollar projects by tech giants like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg in Wyoming, arguing that the state is unprepared for proper regulation. On Friday, Hoskinson is scheduled to speak at the University of Wyoming’s Blockchain Stampede Speaker Series, discussing his frustrations with the state's procurement processes when bidding for the stable token. He highlights that despite meeting four out of five pre-qualification criteria, Cardano was excluded due to ambiguous requirements. He alleges conflicts of interest among decision-makers and argues that qualifications for project vendors were not transparently disclosed. While Hoskinson sees potential for legal action against the state regarding the bidding process, he believes that it would ultimately be a futile endeavor. Hoskinson is critical of Wyoming's approach to developing a stable token through government competition with private companies and suggests that the entire project should be scrapped to realign procurement policies.
