Bhatia works across departments like ultrasound and imaging, collaborates with partners like AWS and Nvidia, and holds research partnerships with institutions such as Mass General Brigham. AI integration examples include GE HealthCare’s Air Recon DL, which cuts MRI scan times by 50% without compromising image quality, aiding patients who struggle with long scans. A model predicting missed care opportunities, accurate up to 96%, was co-developed with Mass General Brigham. Bhatia's role involves both strategic planning and direct involvement with engineering teams to build and integrate AI technologies. Looking ahead, he emphasizes understanding AI’s limitations and potential through the AI Innovation Lab, seeking customer feedback to refine AI applications, and aligning GE HealthCare's AI strategy with the company's growth objectives.
