Google has unveiled its new AI photo editing tool called "Reimagine, " joining the ranks of Samsung and Apple in offering such features. Reimagine goes beyond previous tools by allowing users to generate realistic images by typing in a text prompt. However, the tool has raised concerns as it can also generate disturbing content, such as car wrecks, drug paraphernalia, and more.

Google states that it has policies and safeguards in place, but there remains a lack of robust tools to identify and regulate this content. Adding to the issue, AI-generated images do not have visible indicators of their origin, potentially making it easier to circulate misleading photos. It is advised to approach online photos with extra skepticism.
