The detail that thins out in a second language
A quote question survives a rough translation; an instruction does not. "The side gate, not the front" and "the office upstairs is locked, skip it" are the sentences that decide whether a visit works, and they are exactly the ones a caller hurries through when they are speaking a language they are less sure of.

What lands on the job is a written note in a form you can read, so a Spanish call and an English call produce the same usable record rather than one full note and one thin one.
Nothing is decided in a language you cannot check
You are not asked to trust a conversation you did not hear. The note carries what the caller actually asked for, so you can approve the job, correct a detail or call back yourself. If something was unclear on the call, that shows as unclear rather than being smoothed over.
