One fixture or all of them decides whether anybody drives tonight.

At nine in the evening somebody has to decide whether a call is worth waking a tech for, and on a small crew that somebody is you, half asleep, listening to a worried voice. The question that actually settles it is simple and nobody thinks to ask it: is it one fixture, or is everything in the house doing it. One is a trap or a branch line and it can wait for morning. The other is the main line, and it does not stop on its own.

You pay for the wrong answer in both directions

Send a truck out at ten for a kitchen sink and you have burnt a night's rest and an overtime hour on a job that would have taken twenty minutes at nine the next morning. Leave a real main-line backup until then and the household spends the night with sewage in a basement, and you spend the next week apologising to somebody who will not call again.

It asks what a drain tech would ask, at the hour you are asleep

Neuron answers the line for the hours you hand it and works through the observable facts: which fixtures are affected, whether water is still rising, whether anything is coming up in a floor drain, and whether this address has done it before. What genuinely cannot wait is flagged to you with those facts attached; everything else is booked into the morning with the line and the access point already written down.

You write the rule, not the receptionist

Which hours are covered, and what is worth a call to you at midnight, are yours to set — and you can tighten them after a week of finding out what your nights actually look like. Nothing is dispatched on its own and no arrival time is promised for you.

After-hours answering — FAQ

How does it know what counts as urgent for my business?

You define it. It collects the facts — how many fixtures, whether water is rising, whether a floor drain is involved — and applies your rule rather than its own judgement.

Can it stop me being woken for slow drains?

That is most of the value. A single slow fixture is captured and booked for the morning instead of escalated, so the calls that do reach you are the ones you would have wanted.

What arrives in the morning?

The overnight calls already booked, each with the address, the line and access point, and what the caller described — rather than a list of numbers to work through.

Does my daytime line change?

No. You hand over only the hours you choose; the rest of the day works exactly as it does now.
