An emergency needs a person, not a booking form.

Most trades add online booking to catch the urgent caller. Drain work is the inverted case: the urgent caller is the one who must not be sent to a form. A person standing in a bathroom watching the water rise needs to know somebody is coming and roughly when, and a booking confirmation that promises a window three days out is worse than no page at all. What genuinely belongs online is the planned half of your work — and it is the half most drain companies never take bookings for.

The planned half is the half nobody books

A camera inspection is a considered decision made after the third backup, usually in the evening, by somebody who has decided to find out what is actually going on. It has a known length, needs no diagnosis in advance and is the easiest thing in your business to schedule — and yet it is almost always arranged by telephone tag across two days, which is where most of them quietly die.

What books itself, and what gets a person instead

Camera visits, a return to a line already on file and any service type where your scope is fixed go straight onto the calendar at the right length. An active backup does not: the page captures the address, which fixtures are affected and whether water is rising, and puts the caller through to a real conversation rather than handing them a slot. Nobody in an emergency is asked to trust a form.

You set which door is which

Which service types are bookable, how long a camera visit takes and how far ahead the calendar opens are yours to decide, and you can change where the line sits whenever your week does. Nothing on the page commits a price — what is found on a camera is still quoted by you.

Online booking — FAQ

Why not let an emergency book online too?

Because the page cannot promise a truck. Somebody with water rising needs a person and a real answer about timing, and a booked slot would be the wrong kind of reassurance.

What stops a stranger booking a main line backup as a camera visit?

The page asks what the fixtures are doing before anything is booked, and anything looking like an active backup is captured and routed to a call instead.

Do online requests arrive differently from phone calls?

No. Both become the same job with the address and the line attached, so you work from one list.

Can I stop bookings when the week is full?

Yes. Which days are open and how far ahead the calendar runs are settings you can change at any point.
