Clearing a line is not the interesting fact. The interesting fact is that this line was cleared in March, again in July, and the customer is on the phone in November. A record that only lists visits cannot say that; a record built around the drain line can. Neuron keeps where the cleanout is, what the line is made of and how far it runs, what the camera inspection showed and at what footage, whether roots came back, and the date of every clearing — so the interval between them is visible to whoever picks up, and the fourth call is a conversation about the line instead of a fourth cable job.

Built for drain specialists, not generic field service

From the backed-up sink to the camera report.

Drain work arrives as an emergency and leaves as a record: what was cleared, with what, and whether the line will do it again. The calls come while the tech is on their back under a cabinet, and the answer a customer remembers is the one from the last visit nobody wrote down.

Backups that cannot wait an hourWater is already on the floor when the phone rings, and a drain that is backing up gets worse with every flush. The call has to be answered and booked while it is still happening.
No history on a line that clogs againThe third call about the same kitchen stack arrives with the first two nowhere on record, so nobody knows whether it was snaked or jetted, or which cleanout the last clog came out of.
Camera findings stuck on a phoneWhat the camera inspection found — a belly at forty feet, roots at a joint, a cracked clay section — lives in one tech's camera roll instead of on the line it belongs to.
Quoting jetting without seeing the lineAn estimate for hydro jetting or a root cut that nobody can point at is a number the customer has to take on trust, and a drain customer who has already paid twice rarely does.

What the drain cleaning day looks like

All the pieces. Working together.

1. The backup call

Whatever the hour, the AI receptionist picks up, finds out whether water is still rising and which fixture it is coming up through, then books a rush visit. Dispatch opens the schedule to a backup already marked, the fixture named on its job card.

2. Send the closest rig

The dispatcher checks the schedule for who carries the jetter and who has the cable machine on the truck today, then assigns whoever is closest. The technician gets a job card naming the fixture and the cleanout location.

3. The line's own history

Before the technician pulls up, the job card shows every past visit to this address: which line clogged, where the cleanout is, what cleared it last time, and whether a camera inspection flagged roots.

4. Camera inspection on the record

The technician attaches the camera footage and a short finding — distance, pipe material, what was found — to the line record. The dispatcher and the next tech watch the same video instead of asking for someone's phone.

5. Jetting quoted from evidence

The technician writes the jetting estimate on the same job as the camera footage, so the customer approves a root cut against what they saw on screen. The office turns the approved estimate into the invoice.

6. Tech in the crawlspace

The technician opens the job in the field app before lifting the cleanout cap: address history, last camera finding, which access point worked. Arrival, footage and the customer's sign-off go back to the record the dispatcher sees.

Drain Cleaning CRM FAQ

Why build the record around the drain line instead of the customer?

Because the line is what keeps calling. The same address, the same clog, three times in a year is a repair conversation — and it only looks like one when the clearings sit together on the record with their dates instead of scattered through a year of invoices.

What happens to what the camera inspection found?

It stays on the property record with the footage it was seen at, so the next visit starts from the last picture of the line rather than from the customer's memory of what somebody said on a screen.

Does it track a declined repair?

Yes. The estimate stays on the record with its date and the findings behind it. When the line backs up again, the reason it was quoted is already there.

Can I move my existing customers in?

Yes. You can move existing customers and history into the free CRM foundation and keep working; phone, AI Receptionist and other paid operating capabilities are added through Business Core when you need them.
