Neuron Expert

SMS updates & consent

Neuron Expert sends text messages about a service appointment you booked with a business that uses our platform — and only to customers who asked for them. This page describes every way that consent is given, the exact wording shown when it is given, what is sent afterwards, and how to stop. Nothing on this page collects information.

How consent is given — path 1: the service request form on the business’s website

A customer fills in the service request form on the website of the business they are hiring (each business has its own domain, built and hosted by Neuron Expert). The form asks for name, phone, email and a description of the job. Below those fields is a single consent checkbox. It is not ticked by default, and it is the only thing on the form that authorises text messages:

Send request

Public reproduction of the actual consent screen used on Neuron-hosted service-request forms — the checkbox wording is the same string the live form renders. Every control here is disabled; this page collects nothing.

  • If the box is ticked, the consent, the moment it was given and the exact wording shown are stored with the request and with the booking it becomes.
  • If the box is left alone the request is still submitted and the business still calls back — the customer simply receives no automatic text messages.
  • Giving a phone number for any other purpose is never treated as consent.
  • The checkbox and the recorded verbal agreement below are the only two ways to opt in. There is no text-to-join keyword, and no numbers are bought, rented or imported from any list.

How consent is given — path 2: a recorded verbal agreement on the booking call

Many customers book by phone instead of using the form. Once the appointment time is agreed and before the booking is saved, the agent reads this disclosure word for word and waits for an answer:

As part of our service, Neuron Expert sends automated text messages about your appointment: a booking confirmation with the date, time and booking number, a day-of reminder with your service window, and a technician on-the-way update. Message frequency varies, typically 2 to 5 messages per booking, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help; our privacy policy is at neuron.expert/privacy. Do you agree to receive these automated text messages about your appointment?
  • The customer must answer affirmatively. Their own answer is stored with the booking, together with the moment it was given and the version of the disclosure they heard.
  • If they decline, stay silent, or give an unclear answer, no consent is recorded — the appointment is booked either way and no automatic text messages are sent.
  • The disclosure is read in the language of the call, and the wording is generated from one source of truth in the product, so what is published here is what is spoken.

What is sent, and how often

Only messages about the appointment the customer booked. No marketing, no promotions, no third-party content. Message frequency varies and is typically 2–5 messages per booking. Message and data rates may apply. Every message identifies the business.

  • Booking confirmation, with the date, time window and booking number
  • A reminder on the day of the service window
  • Technician on-the-way / ETA update
  • A link to the repair estimate, and to the invoice
  • One follow-up after the visit

Stopping, and getting help

  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. The opt-out is immediate and applies to every automatic appointment message.
  • Reply HELP for help.
  • These keywords are processed by Twilio’s standard Messaging Service opt-out and help handling.
  • To receive automated appointment texts again after opting out, the customer must give fresh consent through the unchecked checkbox above. Texting a keyword does not resubscribe anyone.
