Why does the service plan matter more than the contact?
Because it drives the schedule. A customer on a weekly lawn care plan generates a recurring visit; a one-off quote for landscape design is something else. The plan is what keeps the route coherent.
Can it track design work and estimates?
Yes — a design estimate lives on the property with photos, scope and materials. If approved it becomes a scheduled job; if declined the history remains for follow-ups and upsells.
How does it handle irrigation maintenance?
The irrigation system type and maintenance history stay on the property record, so seasonal starts, zone repairs and efficiency audits are tracked against the equipment rather than guessed at.
Can I import my existing customers?
Yes. You can move existing customers and history into the free CRM foundation and keep working; phone, AI Receptionist and other paid operating capabilities are added through Business Core when you need them.
Does it track crew assignments and specialization?
Yes — each property record shows which crew is assigned and their estimated time for that service. Over time you can see which crew knows each property best and which service types they specialize in.
Can one customer have several properties?
Yes. A customer who owns a home and a rental keeps one contact with two properties, each with its own service plan, crew and notes. Calling about one address does not pull up the other one's history.
Can I keep a weekly mowing plan and a design project on the same property?
Yes. The recurring mow and the one-time design estimate sit side by side on the property. The estimate becomes a job only when the customer approves it, and the mowing plan carries on untouched.
How do I know who is due for spring cleanup or aeration?
Seasonal work is recorded against the property, so when the season opens you can list the customers who had it last year and have not been booked yet. You call them from the record instead of from memory.
What do I do about estimates the customer never answered?
The estimate stays open on the property with its scope and photos, and you can set a follow-up date. A declined or silent quote is not lost, and the next call from that customer opens with the history in front of you.
Can I store gate codes and access notes for my crews?
Yes. Access instructions, dogs, side-yard gates and where to leave clippings are written on the property, so a crew that has never been there reads them before the visit.
Does it work for commercial grounds as well as homes?
Yes. A commercial site keeps its own contact, visit list and access note, apart from residential lawns, so a weekly grounds contract is not mixed up with a one-time yard cleanup.
Does the CRM set my prices?
No. You enter the estimate and the price you quote. The CRM keeps the scope, the photos and the approval against the property so the number you gave is there when the customer calls back.
