AI receptionist
The receptionist answers breakdown repairs where the customer's equipment is stopped until you arrive, asks what the job needs and books it into the CRM with the caller's details.
Caller
“The hitch on our trailer cracked — can someone weld it today?”
Caller
“We need a custom steel railing for our stairs.”
Caller
“Our loader bucket needs a repair before Monday.”
In the CRM
| Step | What the dispatcher sees | What the owner availability sees |
|---|---|---|
| 1Call | A new request with the caller, the reason and material, thickness and process, drawings and measurements, on-site or in-shop location and past repairs on the same equipment, plus the call transcript. | Nothing yet — the request is not assigned to a owner availability until it is booked. |
| 2Record | The customer record: job, material & drawing records, notes and the job history. | The same record, before the visit — what was done last time and what the caller said. |
| 3Job | The job on the calendar — mobile repair calls, shop fabrication time and pick-up dates. | Assigned to the business owner, with the address, the reason and the arrival window. |
| 4Invoice | The invoice and payment link on the same job, with the Payments department from Copper. | Marks the job complete; the invoice goes out from the same record. |

Comparing Welding software?
Start with the welding workflow on this page, then use the source-checked comparisons for current vendor scope and pricing. If your first question is cost, compare the free field-service foundation and the current Neuron plans before choosing a system.
The CRM foundation is free forever, including customer and job records, a basic pipeline, booking and calendar. A basic website is also free once you connect and verify a domain you own. Business phone, AI Receptionist, automation and Smart Dispatch are paid capabilities.
It starts with the free CRM and basic website, keeps customer and job records with booking and calendar, then lets you add phone, AI Receptionist, automation, Smart Dispatch and technician workflows as the business grows.
The programmatic SEO feature generates and improves local pages for your welding services. It improves your on-page SEO; it does not promise Google traffic. You only pay when you apply changes.
